Where Can I Get Involved?

First, thank you for your consideration. Our school and parish community is a generous one and most of our accomplishments are due to people like you. So chances are you have already helped St. Joseph School in one fashion or another. However, there are always new challenges and needs to fulfill, people to meet and fun to be had in the process. Below is a list of committees with specific needs that you may be able to help with.

School Board
The St. Joseph School Board is an advisory board of parents which does long and short term planning and development for the school. School Board aids in preparing the strategic plan, budgets, tuition contracts, fundraising plans, public relations, and advertising. All school organizations must regularly report to the School Board. Members are chosen by discernment. This board meets on the each of the school year, except June and July.
The right of non-members to address the board will be limited to those whose petitions have been presented to the pastor, principal, or School Board President and are approved for the agenda two weeks in advance of the meeting.

The School Board also overees two sub-committees; the Building and Grounds Committee (BAG) and the Grant Committee.

Dinner Dance & Auction Committee
As one of the largest fundraisers for St. Joseph School, the annual Dinner Dance & Auction is a wonderful event to enjoy the company of our school and parish family, enjoy a wonderful evening of dinner, dancing, and treasures of items up for bid! To learn more about the St. Joseph Dinner Dance & Auction, please contact any of the Co-Chairs: Amy Piazza.

The St. Joseph School Auction coordinators are always looking for auction items or items for the themed baskets which are raffled each year. If you have an interest in donating an item for the silent auction or have insights to help the committee obtain great auction items, please contact Amy Piazza at agoepper@yahoo.com or call 815-600-9273.

The St. Joseph Dinner Dance has wonderful opportunities for your business, employer or your family to become a sponsor.  Let us know if you are able to sponsor or have contacts for us in obtaining our goals. The St. Joseph Dinner Dance has wonderful opportunities to showcase your business, company, or family with the purchase of advertisement in the Auction Booklet. Parents Club
