What Our Parents/Students Say
“For nine years, our children attended this school and received an outstanding academic and religious education that was second to none. With the edicated service of the laity staff and the exposure to Catholicism, their education was rich in tradition. Due to the strong academic and spiritual foundation constructed at SJS, always to be reinforced at church and home, the twins are thriving in all aspects at Providence. More importantly, the small class sizes and personal attention that they received at SJS reinforced all of the values that we sought to instill. They differentiated from right and wrong and revered a sense of kindness and goodness that still permeates their lives. They established early a strong work ethic and learned to work hard to achieve their highest potential. They made life-long friends. They experienced first-hand the sense of belonging to a close-knit Catholic community, as well as, the benefits and responsibilities of being members of such a community. The experiences here at St. Joseph have profoundly impacted our lives.” Bill and Maureen Harton (Alumni Parents)
“We believe in a faith based quality education, especially in the young formative years. We support the school because we know how difficult it is in today’s economy to function and provide the high standard of education that St. Joseph does. The school may be built of bricks and mortar but when you are there during the day the children bring the school to life with all the singing, reading, working on the computers, sports, and praying. We really believe that the foundations we are creating now at SJS will make this world a better place later. St. Joseph not only has an excellent academic curriculum supported with the very dedicated and faith filled teachers but through the example of parents, clergy and administrators SJS give examples of loving family life.” Rick and Cathy Brock (Alumni Parents)
“Through everything that St. Joseph community has done for and meant to our family, it has required nothing from us. If we had not been able to afford tuition, St. Joseph would have provided it. If we could not contribute to the Sunday collection, we would have still been welcomed. Where else in life can you receive so much without anything required in return? The selflessness of the faculty, administration and parish staff is an example of what really is most important in life. No matter how involved we continue to be in the St. Joseph community, it will never equal the value of what we have received. But we will continue to be active, both to show our gratitude by helping others, as well as to continue to benefit from the grace and community that has been so important to our lives.” Ken and Cathy Lomasney (Alumni Parents)
“St. Joe’s has really changed me over the past nine years. I have learned Christian values that will help me for the rest of my life. I have made many friends and learned enough to make all honors classes in high school. SJS has helped my entire family live better Christian lives.” Michael Bryniarski ’04 (Currently, Michael is a senior at the Illinois Math and Science Academy.)
“Over the past nine years, St. Joseph has taught me many things, whether it is making friends, learning my faith, or just learning to be myself in front of anyone. I know when I leave this school; I will be a good Christian role model because St. Joseph has taught me how to be kind to others. I have made the best of friends at this school, and I will never forget all the good times we had together at SJS. I know that I can leave this school a good person because St. Joseph has taught me how to act like a true Christian.” Ali Oremus ‘04
