How Can I Get Involved?

Market Day

The following dates are the Market Day order form due dates, as well as the pick-up dates:

The doors close at 3:00 p.m. in the Activity Center on pick-up day. Please be sure to be on time to pick up your order. If you have selected a late-night pick up, then you can come between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. that day to pick up your order. For late-night pick up, checks should be made out to: St. Joseph Parents Club. Thank you.

**This is the last Market Day sale date until September, so stock up for summer!

PLACING ORDERS

Order forms can be obtained …
1) in the back of church (in the clear box-like container),
2) online via the Market Day website at www.marketday.com,
3) or you can call Dawn Virva at 815-834-0138 to place your order.

Order form due dates are listed on the Market Day website (www.MarketDay.com) as well as on the back of the actual order form, at the bottom left-hand corner.

Checks should be made out to “Market Day” unless you have elected to pick up your order at our late-night pickup time, or from Extended Day, which in these cases, the check needs to be made out to “Parents Club.”

As soon as the Market Day rep leaves the building (usually at 3pm the day of the sale), the Parents Club is responsible for paying for any food that has not been paid for by the customer.

PICK-UP

Market Days are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month during the school year (September – May).

We are always looking for volunteers to help out…we usually arrive at the Activity Center around 11:15 and start setting up tables right away. This is a job that a man would be most welcome at! We have the help of some of our 8th graders around noon to start unloading the truck, and that’s when we could use any and all volunteers!

All of the Market Day food products are unloaded and put on a corresponding table. When all of the food is distributed accordingly, we start filling orders. By the time our customers arrive (around 1:45), all of the orders are usually boxed up and ready to take home.

We do our Market Day a little differently then most schools. If you ever picked up an order at another school, you probably noticed that you had to stand in a long line and wait before paying, then grab a box and start filling your own order. We do all of that for you ahead of time. Our Market Day is very efficient…you walk in, pick up your pink slip, pay the Market Day rep for your order, and go look for your completed order on the bleachers, or on the tables. All orders are in alphabetical order.
