Give Something Back Foundation

Last Spring, the Give Something Back Foundation established the opportunity for selected 8th grade students from each school in the Lockport district to receive 4 year full-college scholarships. The students had to meet established criteria and complete a detailed application.  At the SJS Class of 2006 commencement ceremony in May, our very own Bryanna Guerra was awarded this amazing opportunity.

The GSBF also offered a 2006 Teacher Award.  Teachers were nominated by parents, students, fellow staff members, and community members. The recipient will be a teacher who significantly has impacted the life of one or more students in a very positive way whether in or outside of the classroom. The award was given to an individual who serves as a role model and displays compassion for students as well as his/her peers at St. Joseph. The award will consist of a special award symbolizing excellence and a check for $2,500.  St. Joseph School proudly awarded 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Denise Bibly the 2006 Teacher Award.

Congratulations Bryanna and Mrs. Bibly!!!!!
We are so proud of you!

Building Leaders of Tomorrow....The Future Comes One Brick at a Time!!

The dream of our St. Joseph Garden has become a reality! Our dream was made possible by the generous support of parishioners Bob Szewcyzk (Excellence Landscaping) and Michael Oremus (Illinois Brick). Seating wall opportunities are sold out! There is always room for more gardens if you do so wish. Garden and brick orders will be taken throughout the year through the Development office, rectory or collection basket. Stay tuned for further information regarding a spring garden dedication. Orders can also be mailed directly to the school: Development Office - Michelle Ray, 529 Madison St., Lockport, IL 60441.
