The ‘Raise the Roof’ Campaign was started in September of 2005. This fundraising campaign was different than most because it was meant to raise funds required for repairs to our existing buildings rather than the development of something new. The decision to launch this campaign was not an option – our choice was to either replace the roof of our school or to close the school. Since the funds necessary to pay for this work were not in our savings, we needed to go to the diocese and present our needs to them. They agreed to fund the roof work, which was completed over that summer, contingent upon us paying them back within two years. In addition, we have window and boiler problems that desperately need replacement, and we have made certain that any materials that could have contained asbestos have been removed and replaced. All of these expenses are required in order to keep our parish and school operating.
Just as your home or car needs repairs after years of use, so do our buildings. Since the benefit of using our buildings belongs not only to current parishioners and school families, but those that have come before, we are soliciting pledges from former parish members whose families have attended St. Joseph School. We need your help. There are those that have pledged $5 per month, and those that have pledged hundreds per month. Even though the amounts can be quite different, they are all meaningful
Please follow the link for a Raise the Roof pledge card and return your completed pledge to the rectory, the school or the Sunday collection basket to begin the pledging process. You will be billed according to your selected payment instructions.
Thank you for your support.
